Description of Villa:
BEGUR- spacious two storey detached villa with private pool. Views of the sea, country and Begur castle (10 persons). A light and spacious villa finished to a very good standard throughout. Parking. BBQ. Sunbeds, garden furniture. Sat tv with English channels. 2km to Sa Riera beach, 1.5km (less than 5mins by car) to the enchanting hillside town of Begur with its many fine Catalan restaurants, bars, cafes and lively main square. Also five minutes or so drive is the superb sandy beach of Sa Riera with its local shops and restaurants. The coastal villages of Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell are within 15-20minutes drive, as are the wonderful inland medieval villages of Peratallada and Pals. The ancient town of Girona is 45mins drive and if you crave city life, Barcelona is 1.5hours drive or you can take the train from nearby Flaca to both of these fascinating cities. The pool has decking surround. The garden has lawned area as well as terracing and decking. This is a very comfortable spacious and well furnished/equipped villa in a prime location close to amenities and beach.

Sat. T.V. with full SKY Channels, CD/Tape/Radio, Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Oven, Hob, Toaster, Kettle, Terrace, Parking, Seaview, Swimming Pool NEARBY ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS: Tennis and horseriding- 10mins drive. Beach activities, snorkelling, diving- 10min drive. The beaches in this region are superb. All sandy with blue flags and mostly a shallow entrance making it safe for little ones. There is rarely overcrowding as there is such a choice of beaches and some are relatively unknown by tourists. This area attracts many spaniards from Barcelona and other parts of Spain, many of whom have holiday homes here. Go-karting for kids and adults-10mins drive. Water park- 20mins drive. Golf- many golf courses within 10-20 mins drive. The house manual gives details of all the courses in the local vicinity. Sailing- 10mins drive. There is a sailing club at Sa Riera and kayaks and pedallos for hire. Kayaks also at Calella. Cultural activities- all over the region: Figueres- Dalis museum- 40mins drive Medieval towns- 15-20 mins drive- Peratallada- a must to visit. Restaurants- too numerous to mention. Begur has a very good choice as do the coastal villages. The house manual has previous guests comments on local restaurants. Shops- an interesting selection of very good shops selling clothes, jewellery, etc. Food- excellent speciality shops in Begur for fish and meat plus very good supermarkets. Cycling- bykes can be hired in Palafrugell Walking- this is wonderful walking country, especially out of season when it is not so hot. The tourist office has a map showing popular walks. Skiing- within 3 hours you can be on the slopes in Andorra. Night life- plenty if you want it but there is not a string of discos here. Mainly late night cellar bars with music, some with dancing. There is a club in Begur and one just outside, not far from the villa but well away from everything and everyone! The main square has entertainment in the high season with a mixture of traditional and modern music and dancing. Wonderful to just sit and watch!
