Description of Villa: |
This is a 2 bedroom top floor apartment of a luxury villa in Almuñecar, an ancient Phoenician port, situated at the end of San Cristobal beach.
The villa is a cliff side residence with spectacular views of the Mediterranean and the town, which is only 15 minutes walk along the sea front. The nearest beach, San Cristobal, and shops are less than 5 minutes away. A communal swimming pool, open in the summer, is alongside, and golf courses are within reasonable distance. On the other side of the town is "Aqualand", open in the summer and popular with all ages.
The town boasts a large market for all the locally grown vegetables and tropical fruits as well as fresh fish and meats. The bird sanctuary and castle are worth visiting. Behind the town the foothills of the Sierra Nevada rise towards Granada where the snow capped peaks provide a picturesque backdrop for the view inland. Skiing in season is available on the Olympic runs, and the Alhambra in the spring and summer offers an excellent insight into the lives of the Moorish occupation.
A few kilometres west is "Marina del Este", where arrangements can be made for trips around the coast and opportunities for snorkeling and seeing dolphins. Further still to the west (20 km) is Nerja, where the spectacular caves provide an interesting day out combined with a visit to the historic village of Frigiliana.
Malaga airport is just over one hour drive away via the new motorway.
The swimming pool is open from 15th June to 30th September.
Pets allowed only upon previous agreement with the owners.

A large dining/sitting room with a big TV set, 3 piece suite and a fireplace.
Dining suite for 6. Beautiful views of the sea and the town. Ample private parking.
Fully fitted kitchen with a large fridge and freezer, microwave oven and a washing machine, as well as kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery.
Bathroom: full suite with bath, shower and bidet.
Bed linen and towels provided. No beach towels.
Terrace to the main bedroom, with one terrace table and four chairs.
Use of garden and patio in winter, spring and summer ONLY when ground floor is vacant. |
