Spacious south facing apartment - the ground floor of Villa Mimosa, a delightful traditionally styled Spanish villa set in its own grounds. Its private self enclosed garden with large swimming pool, for your exclusive use, is a genuine sun trap and enjoys unspoilt views across the orange groves to the not so distant mountains. Three twin bedrooms, fully fitted kitchen and spacious bathroom. Large bright comfortable lounge/dining room with colour TV and DVD player opens directly onto the outside dining area, garden and pool. The apartment has 3Mb Wi-Fi broadband Internet access. There is secure parking and all bed linen (changed weekly), towels and a welcome pack of essentials are provided.
Within 5 minutes walking distance of the villa there are three typical Spanish bar/restaurants and a sunday morning market for your fresh fruit and vegetables. Fresh bread is delivered daily during the summer months.
The villa is situated within walking distance of the 14th century San Gerónimo monastery in the beautiful valley of Marxuquera, 10 minutes inland from the historic coastal town of Gandia and surrounded by small mountains characterized by lush orange groves, a paradise for walkers, climbers or artists There are plenty of golf courses within reach, the nearest being only 20 minutes drive away.
Gandia is a lively and fashionable town with countless shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, parks and a market every Saturday morning. It boasts a 5-mile long golden "Blue Flag" award winning beach with all the facilities that one could wish for and whose night life in the summer is legendary. Gandia town really comes alive during the week leading up to 19th March for the famous Fallas celebrations. Also within driving distance in the Valencian town of Buñol is the immensely popular Tomatina or tomato-throwing festival, which is held on the last wednesday of August each year.
Other local attractions include the beautiful village of Guadalest and the famous twin castles of Xátiva. Also within easy reach there are water parks, golf courses, the Terra Mítica theme park and the world famous Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (Art and Science City) which in addition to many other delights boasts the largest oceanarium in Europe. It of course goes without saying that with the hosting of the 2007 Americas Cup, Valencia is firmly established as the leading area for sailing and all kinds of marine sport.
Valencia and Alicante airports are only 50 minutes and 75 minutes drive away respectively via the A7 motorway and many airports now offer cheap flights to both where you can hire a car inexpensively.
Gandia station, 15 minutes drive from the villa, provides a direct link to the very heart of the city of Valencia, and the hour-long train journey through the orange groves and paddy fields is a very pleasant and economical one.
A car is essential to appreciate this beautiful part of Spain.

The main floor above the holiday accommodation is home to Graham and Luana who, while remaining as unobtrusive as possible, will be on-hand for advice, information and assistance to make your stay as relaxing and carefree as possible.
