Village house in the historic heart of Fornalutx. Stylish, tastefully restored retreat, with fabulous views of the mountains.
Description of Townhouse:
Es Forn Vell was, until recently, the village bakery. Lovingly restored in November 2005, situated in the historic heart of the village just off the main square. Tastefully furnished, four storeys with wonderful views of the square and towards the mountains. Perfect retreat for a couple. Use of pool and hammocks in grounds of lovely small hotel close by. Contemporary and cool entrada / living room, beautifully furnished with interesting pieces collected on our travels. Traditional kitchen/dining area is light and airy, perfect for summer mornings. Principal bedroom is simply furnished, with an antique wrought iron bed. Rooms are all linked with original worn stone stair wells, complete with antique doors. Top level reading room is idyllic; with day beds, large skylight and the mountains above. Fornalutx Surrounded by lemon and orange trees and olive groves, Fornalutx has twice been voted the prettiest village in Spain. There are several good restaurants in the village, which cater to all tastes, many boasting fabulous views. Bars and cafes also serve great tapas throughout the day. The village shop is extremely well stocked, with local produce. Walking opportunities are endless; as Fornalutx is perched in the heart of the Tramuntana mountains, yet is less than 10 minutes from Puerto Soller. Beach / Port There is a pretty beach (Platja den Repic) in Puerto Soller, less than 10 minutes away by car, where sun loungers are available. The port is also a lovely spot at sunset with good bars and restaurants. Distances Walking into Soller is a pleasure and takes approximately 25 minutes. Palma is only 30 minutes by car. Deia and Valdemossa are also 30 minutes by car, Pollensa 1 hour. Car hire is recommended but we have had many happy, relaxing times without.

Facilities:
We have heaters on all levels for the winter months (its very cosy) and fans for the summer if needed. Linen and towels are included and changed weekly.
