Description of Townhouse: |
This area of the Costa blanca has been described by the World health organisation as having the healthiest climate in Europe.
Alicante itself is a lovely place to visit,(15 min. drive) either to stroll along the promenade, the Marina, the shops or enjoy the nightlife.
The Flamingos on the salt lakes between Gran Alacant and Torrevieja are another unique feature which you will pass if you choose to visit Santa Pola (15min. drive in the opposite direction).
From here you can take a trip on the Glass Bottom Boats to the island of Tabarca or visit the old fashioned funfair Pola Park.
Terra Mittica, Aqualandia and Mundomar are all within easy reach by car, or tickets for coach trips are available locally.
Gran Alacant area
Gran Alacant is a residential area, no hotels just houses and apartments, but plenty of bars,restaurants,shops and banks.
Thursday mornings there is a street market a short walk from the house, and a much larger one at Santa pola on Saturdays.
The GA Centre at the entrance to Gran Alacant is a commercial centre with many bars shops and restaurants
