Description of Cottage: |
Newly reformed cottage finished April 2007, suitable for all ages who are looking for a holiday of relaxation interspersed with sight seeing.
It is located in the village of Fuente del Conde, which on the map is the new name of Casas de la Alcudilla.
Being on one level, it is suitable for any disabled people who can negotiate the 4 steps from the road. A ramp is available.
It could accommodate 6 people in 2 double bedrooms and and bed settee.
Large open plan living room/kitchen. The traditional Spanish kitchen combined with the indoor dining area is fully fitted with standard oven for the so inclined.
The outside space consists of a patio and a roof terrace with panoramic views ideal for alfresco dining.
Wheechair and walking frame available if needed for the not so nimble.
Conforms with the regulations of the Spanish Tourist board.
The property is situated along a track just 20 metres from the end of the tarmac within a 5 minutes easy walk from the centre of the village. You dont need to be a mountaineer or hiker to collect your daily bread from the village shop or visit the village bar.
English/Danish owners live in village so that any problems that may arise are quickly and easily resolved.
The property is open all year with winter heating being provided by electric radiators which are clean and bother free.Being fully insulated, room fans cater for the summer heat.
Pets are welcome along with smokers.
The village shop carries a wide variety of goods with LOCAL fruit and vegetables in season.
Take the oportunity to practise your Spanish,whatever your level.Recent occupants have had a lesson in olive processing and the opportunity to sample fresh vegetables just picked by one of the Spanish neighbours.
The village bar offers Tapas and meals. It also serves as a club house for the older generation of men in the afternoons. Anyone would be welcome to join in their card games.
Catering for children there is a small childrens playground and football pitch in the village.
Broadband internet can be accessed FREELY form home of owner.
Valuables may be safely left at owners home
The owner also has an extensive childrens and adult library which can be borrowed freely. |

Facilities: |
Fuente del Conde is situated in the south east corner of the Province of Cordoba thus making it an ideal centre for visiting the historical sites of Cordoba (the Mezquita and the Roman Bridge), Granada (the Alhambra), Malaga (Gibralfaro and the Picasso Museum), Antequera (Roman remains) Sevilla, Cadiz and even Gibraltar.
The beaches on the Costa del Sol are only an hours drive away. Visit these and then return to the Land of the Tranquility.
Winter stays could include skiing and snow boarding on Sierra Nevada.
The immediate surrounding area include the opportunities for walking, bird watching, wolf watching, horse riding, photography, playing golf and clay pigeon shooting.
As many people may realise, Spain is a country of Fiestas and Ferias. These seem to be spread evenly throughout the year as each town and village celebrate on different days. The Fiesta in Fuente del Conde lasts for 3 days at the beginning of May.
Visit the nearby towns of Loja, Antequera, Rute and Lucena if you need to shop in a larger style supermarket or shopping centre.
Malaga Airport has excellent flights from all over Europe.
Granada Airport which is smaller, has regular flights from Stansted, Liverpool,East Midlands and Frankfurt (Ryanair) |
