Description of Apartment:
Our Apartment Our modern 2 bedroom corner apartment has a good size balcony leading off both the lounge and twin bedroom. The lounge and kitchen benefit from side windows, helping keep the apartment light and airy, particularly in the hot summer months. The west-facing balcony has sea and inland views and catches the sun from around noon until sunset. The complex is gated with telephone entry to each apartment. A lift connects the entrance hall, apartments, pool and the communal rooftop solarium. You have use of perhaps the biggest pool in town with spectacular views over the bay. The pool is maintained for year-round use and is surrounded by sun terracing with shower and toilet facilities. The apartment faces west and is on the outside of the complex, (not poolside) so it enjoys the afternoon sun, side sea and inland mountain views and avoids noise disturbance coming up from the pool. We operate a book library where you can leave any finished books and take a new one home with you. Location Supermarkets, cafes, bars, bowling alley, go kart track, Puerto`s open-air Sunday market, the open air summer cinema, town centre, tourist office, bus station, the indoor market and the medical centre are all within a 5 minute downhill walk. The beach, marina, port and promenade are about 7 minutes walk, depending on the route you choose. Puerto de Mazarron The Costa Calida is one of Spain´s best places to holiday, having a gentle warm winter and long hot summer days. This is a popular resort for Spanish families and in the peak season (July and August) the population swells to capacity. At other times of the year it can be very quiet which makes Puerto ideal for that quiet "get away from it all" style holiday. The coastal areas of Mazarron and Puerto de Mazarron boast some of the finest beaches in Spain and the untouched nature of the coastline and countryside appeals to those who seek a tranquil environment for their holidays. Puerto has a range of restaurants, tapas bars, evening entertainment bars, cultural activities including an open air summer cinema, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including ten pin bowling, sports hall, kart track, gymnasiums etc., plus nearby national parks, museums and natural thermal springs. In summer, Puerto de Mazarron has a good choice of night clubs, inlcuding an open-air out of town club which stays open until after sunrise. The local council regularly provides free beach concerts and has set up theme beaches to provide a variety of free sports and relaxation facilities for all ages - even designated nudist beaches. Puerto de Mazarron is one of the most important tourist centres for marine and sub-aquatic activities in Spain. The frequency of prevailing winds throughout the year in the Bay of Mazarron means sailing instruction and practice can be undertaken at any time of the year. The clear waters and rich flora and fauna offer the enthusiast some highly interesting dives.
