Calan Bosch has a 2nd sandy cove in the Son Xoriguer region where there is a variety of water sports available such as parascending, sailing, banana boat rides etc and where there is also more shops and restaurants. The "fun-train" runs regularly and is an ideal way to get around the resort. A short bus journey will take you to Ciutadella which is an attractive typical Spanish town, this used to be capital of the island with its cobbled streets, pretty port and historic old quarter. This is an absolute “must see” attraction; a great day out for the family and kids. It’s the size of a football pitch and will take you well over three quarters of an hour to figure it out! During the daytime you have to navigate your way through the maze collecting coloured fish as you go along whilst at the same time being rained upon by water sprinklers. In the evening it gets a bit more intense as scary swamp monsters and ghost are introduced. Perhaps a bit much for the young kids but for anyone over 8 years of age, its a great laugh!
