Casa Miguel enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and is located just 10mins drive from the historic town of Montefrio.

Description of Country house: |
Casa Miguel is a rustically restored farmhouse which retains many original features, beamed ceilings and stone floors. The house has 3 bedrooms and two shower rooms (one of which is ensuite) and the capacity to sleep 6 people.
The front door leads into a traditional Spanish kitchen/diner which leads through into the living room with an open fireplace. Stairs give access to a double bedroom with Spanish bed and then through into a twin bedroom which has separate access via the upper terrace. The third bedroom with ensuite shower room is accessed via the main terrace.
Outside there is ample space for dining /sunbathing and relaxing by the pool, with BBQ and shaded seating area on the lower terrace and a further upper terrace.
We are fortunate to have an excellent bar and restaurant just a short walk down the hill (a little longer on the way back up after a good night out!).
The beautiful historic village of Montefrio is just 10mins away by car where you will find many tapas bars/restaurants, shops, bakeries, banks, and pharmacies.
Activities
The surrounding area is perfect for country walks/rambling/hiking and is very popular with cyclist, artists and climbers. The area is also perfect for bird watching with the Golden Oriel being one of many regular visitors. Horse riding around the Parapanda mountain can be arranged.
A visit to La Villa a Moorish Castle perched upon a rocky pinnacle overlooking Montefrio is a must. Montefrio also boast a 18th century round church.
Just 20 minutes away is Penas de los Gitanos a rocky scarp containing an archaeological site of a megalithic settlement.
Just 1 hours drive away is the beautiful city of Granada. Visit the world famous Alhambra Palace or ski/hike in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Malaga beach is just over an hour away , and Rhonda, Antequera, Seville and Cordoba are all within easy driving distance.

Travel
Granada airport is Just 50mins drive away and offers very cheap flights from the UK with Ryanair. Malaga airport is 1hr 30mins. Both airports offer car hire which is essential.
