Description of Apartment:
This brand new, modern, well furnished, 2 bedroom apartment is located centrally within the village of Monachil Barrio, the future site of the cable car to the Pradollano ski resort. It is currently within 25 minutes of the resort, but with the new lift should only take 10 minutes to the top and the snow! The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge/diner, fully fitted kitchen and two terraces. One terrace is off the master bedroom, with sun loungers and an umbrella and the other terrace is off the lounge and kitchen, equipped with table and chairs and where you will find the gas BBQ for alfresco dining. The views from either terrace are spectacular and a great place to sit and relax. The master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom and a juliet balcony. There is a double bed in the master bedroom, a single bed in the second bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge. There is also a fold out single bed if needed. The apartment can accommodate up to 5 people comfortably, being fully equipped for self catering, including linen, TV, DVD, microwave, dishwasher, cooker, kettle, toaster, crockery, glasses, etc... There is parking within the complex accessed via a remotely controlled entrance gate. Just within a 2 minute walk from the apartment is the heart of Monachil Barrio with several bars, restaurants and shops. The bus stop is just outside the entrance to the development, with a regular bus service into Granada every 30 minutes. If skiing is not enough to wear you out, or if you prefer to do something else, then you will also be within minutes of one of Granadas best hiking and climbing trails...Los Cahorros. Here you can have a leisurely walk along the river up to the hanging bridge, which is 63 metres long and almost a century old, waterfalls, or just sit by the river and enjoy the scenery. Or if you prefer, take a lovely walk around Granada City and of course the Alhambra Palace. In the apartment you will find a brochure giving information in and around Monachil, including various walks. This property is ideally located to take advantage of several outdoor activities, such as horse riding, quad riding, golfing, walking and skiing and of course within a bus ride or short drive of the magical city of Granada. If none of these appeal to you, then the beach is only a 30 minute drive, or even better, use the developments own private pool which is just a 2 minute walk from your front door. There are various festivals throughout the year in Monachil. There is the festival of St Anton on the 17th January where the City Council offers a free plate of pork stew and local wine in the fair ground of the old town. Christmas is a delight in Monachil with the City Council making a competition of nativity scenes and holding carol concerts. The Christmas cakes and candies such as the "Nochebuenos" buns are delicious.

As this apartment is very close to the ski resort of Sierra Nevada, skiing is obviously a must. Although for those who prefer to do something else, there is plenty to choose from. From leisurely sight seeing in Granada to other sports. Welcome pack included. Should you require a cot and highchair, this can be arranged in advance.
