VILLA ROCAS
A detached villa built in 2003 and finished to a v.g. standard throughout with five bedrooms and four bathrooms enjoying uninterrupted sea and country views in a peaceful elevated position with lawned gardens, decking and private swimming pool with shallow and deep end.
All living rooms and bedrooms have sea and country views. Close to Casa Alfora (ID262), these are currently the only two houses in this road.
Location:
Just five minutes drive from the enchanting hillside town of Begur with its many fine Catalan restaurants, bars, cafes and lively main square. Also five minutes or so drive is the superb sandy beach of Sa Riera with its local shops and restaurants. The coastal villages of Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell are within 15-20minutes drive, as are the wonderful inland medieval villages of Peratallada and Pals. The ancient town of Girona is 45mins drive and if you crave city life, Barcelona is 1.5hours drive or you can take the train from nearby Flaca to both of these fascinating cities.

Bedroom 5/- Two single beds (90cm each bed). Fitted cupboards. Sea views.
Kitchen- Good size with fitted units and granite surfaces. Fully equipped. Door to garden.

GARDEN
The garden is laid to lawn with decking surround to the swimming pool and a covered dining terrace. There are trees and shrubs including olive and palm. The garden surrounds the villa and there are areas offering complete seclusion. The garden can be approached through the house or via gated steps leading from the drive. There are clothes drying facilities.
Villa Rocas enjoys a sunny and private situation with sea and country views.

NEARBY ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS:
Tennis and horseriding- 10mins drive.
Beach activities, snorkelling, diving- 10min drive.
The beaches in this region are superb. All sandy with blue flags and mostly a shallow entrance making it safe for little ones. There is rarely overcrowding as there is such a choice of beaches and some are relatively unknown by tourists. This area attracts many spaniards from Barcelona and other parts of Spain, many of whom have holiday homes here.
Go-karting for kids and adults-10mins drive.
Water park- 20mins drive.
Zoo- 10mins drive
Golf- many golf courses within 10-20 mins drive. The house manual gives details of all the courses in the local vicinity.
Sailing- 10mins drive. There is a sailing club at Sa Riera and kayaks and pedallos for hire. Kayaks also at Calella.
Cultural activities- all over the region:
Figueres- Dalis museum- 40mins drive
Medieval towns- 15-20 mins drive- Peratallada- a must to visit.
Restaurants- too numerous to mention. Begur has a very good choice as do the coastal villages. The house manual has previous guests comments on local restaurants.
Shops- an interesting selection of very good shops selling clothes, jewellery, etc.
Food- excellent speciality shops in Begur for fish and meat plus very good supermarkets.
Cycling- bykes can be hired in Palafrugell
Walking- this is wonderful walking country, especially out of season when it is not so hot. The tourist office has a map showing popular walks.
Skiing- within 3 hours you can be on the slopes in Andorra.
Night life- plenty if you want it but there is not a string of discos here. Mainly late night cellar bars with music, some with dancing. There is a club in Begur and one just outside, not far from the villa but well away from everything and everyone!
The main square has entertainment in the high season with a mixture of traditional and modern music and dancing. Wonderful to just sit and watch! |
