Description of Townhouse:
Accommodation The house has been left to reflect the traditional feeling of the typical Andalucian village house. The house over two floors and two half levels with double roof terrace on the top consists of three bedrooms, one double, one twin and one single; it can sleep 5 comfortably. There is a big modern bathroom with shower and bidet. The rustic kitchen/dining room is a great place to hang out, cook and plan your day. The stairs from the kitchen lead up to two wonderful roof terraces. One terrace is covered and the other one is open, perfect for enjoying the sun, drinking and eating. There are tables and chairs and a barbecue. The view from here is stunning with the main square’s bell tower and views down the Sayalonga valley right down to the coast and Morocco on a clear day! On the first level there is a cosy sitting room with TV & DVD player; a door off here leads you to the utility room where the washing machine is. Clean Towels and bed linen are provided within the cost of the rental. Notes about Competa Competa is a White Mountain village in the beautiful Axarquia region, east of Malaga. It lies 650m above see level on the mid-slopes of the Sierra Alamijara enjoying a year round sunny climate, bordering a Natural Park. The town itself with a population of approximately 3000 people has all modern facilities: reasonably priced quality Bars and Restaurants, Banks, Supermarkets, Internet cafes, Post Office and a daily fresh fish market. Less than 10 minutes walk away there is the Hotel El Balcon, which has a swimming pool, open to the public for a small fee, you can also play tennis there. Other local activities include horseriding and fantastic walks in the beautiful mountains or exploring the labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets that date back to Moorish times. Around Competa Competa is less than an hour from Malaga airport and 30 minutes drive to the coast and all its beaches. You will find a fantastic variety of beaches all along the coast, from the busy resort town of Nerja to the hidden quieter beaches further east along the unspoilt rugged coastline. It is a great base to explore the rest of the Axarquia region and surrounding cities such as Malaga and Granada. Competa provides you with that get away from it all experience whilst still having all the coastal attractions of the Costa del Sol within reach.
