Finca Sophia is a pretty country house just outside the beautiful whitewashed mountain village of Competa - 60 mins Malaga, 20 mins coast.
Description of Country house:
Finca Sophia, Competa Finca Sophia forms part of an old Spanish farm house. Set amongst vineyards, olives and avocados on the edge of the National Park, Finca Sophia is less than 2 miles from Cómpetas main square, Plaza Almijara, only 60 mins from Malaga and 20 mins from the coast. Description Although fully renovated, Finca Sophia retains a wealth of original features including its fireplace, alcoves, cane and beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and a south facing garden containing traditional paseros (raisin beds). Finca Sophia is entered from the lower terrace, through original double doors. The ground floor comprises a fully equipped kitchen, modern shower room, a lounge/dining room with Video and CD/radio/cassette and a small single bedroom. A selection of videos (including childrens), books and games are available. The first floor consists of the master bedroom with double, cast iron bed. Doors lead from here out onto the roof terrace with views over the surrounding hillsides. A cot, highchair and fold-up bed can be provided if required. Finca Sophia is a great place to relax after a ‘busy’ day walking in the hills, visiting the Alhambra Palace in Granada, or even a trip to Gibraltar. The terraces afford wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. A great place to sunbathe, eat breakfast, or sip a glass of wine! Reached via winding mountain roads, Cómpeta is a huddle of brilliant white houses tumbling down the hillside, surrounded by vineyards. A Moorish settlement in origin, Cómpeta, now famous for its wine, gives a taste of the real Spain. With its restaurants, cafes, bars and shops Cómpeta is ideally situated for walking in the mountains, sightseeing or lazing on the beach! Accommodation Finca Sophia sleeps up to 4 adults (plus a baby/toddler). The accommodation comprises: · Fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, iron etc · Lounge/dining room with Video and CD radio cassette · Modern shower room · Master bedroom with cast iron double bed and doors leading to the roof terrace · Small single bedroom · There is also a fold-up bed to accommodate a 4th person · A cot and high chair can be provided on request – please bring your own cot bedding · Outside there is a roof terrace with table and easy chairs, a terrace with table and chairs and a garden area consisting of traditional raisin beds
