Just like the other Sabateret apartment in the same building, this apartment combines the very old and the brand new in a unique way. With its preserved ancient walls, the apartment marks a history going back to the origins of this 16th century palacio. Recently 3 levels were added on top of this building that houses a fashion and interior design shop and a restaurant on its ground level. The building is located in the middle of the bustling old city center called El Borne or La Ribera, near calle Flassaders, which is one of the streets in El Borne with plenty of designer boutiques and delicatessen shops. Slender Iron columns, dark cedar floors and light grey sofa elements add a distinguished sense of style and luxury to the apartment. The lengthy 75m2 (805 Sq. ft.) space is ideal for both individual business travelers looking for a high quality accommodation as well as romantic couples enjoying the intimacy and comfort of an esthetically pleasing home. The living and kitchen area look out on an ample and light inner patio which used to be the former entrance to the palacio. This is that historical center of town that has made Barcelona so passionately loved by travellers in recent years. You are surrounded by that famous mix of old history and a modern, artistic and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Shop for the latest in fashion, interior decoration or art. Have lunch at one of the areas countless restaurants. Get inspired at the many, many museums in and around El Born. Or just wander about in the streets and look up in complete awe at the amazing architecture. Socialise with the Spanish and international crowd at, say, a cocktail lounge, a traditional tapas bar, or at one of the terrazas in the narrow, winding streets.
