La Casita en Campo Alto Welcome to La Casita en Campo Alto, a lovely detached modern bungalow with a recently converted annexe, situated in a breathtakingly scenic valley in one of the most beautiful areas of Andalucia. La Casita is in the hamlet of Los Alazores which is within Granada province, but very close to the border with Malaga. The hamlet is approximately 18 kms from Loja, but only 10 kms from Alfarnate and Villanueva del Trabuco. Accommodation Accommodation consists of a detched bungalow and a seperate detached bungalow apartment. The bungalow is suitable for 4 people (up to 6 with sofabed), with 2 large, modern, twin-bedded, roomsa and a large family bathroom with shower. There is a comfortable lounge / dining room, which has a wood-burning stove, a sofabed, Sky TV and a DVD player. The kitchen is is stocked with a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and sugar and it is equipped with a gas/electric hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. (The freezer and washing machine are located in a separate utility room.) The detached apartment is directly accross a small patio from the main house, making it ideal accommodation for older children or a separate family. (Far enough away for privacy, close enough for supervising younger family members.) The apartment is suitable for at least 4 people, with 2 modern, twin-bedded, rooms, both of which have private en-suite facilities. There is a comfortable lounge, which has a wood-burning stove, Sky TV (with a separate Skybox) and a Playstation 2 for playing games, CDs and DVDs. The apartment also has its own well equipped kitchen/diner, with gas hob, fridge and microwave/grill. There is a lovely garden and roof terrace, from where the views are absolutely stunning. There is also a small above-ground pool - perfect for cooling off on those sunny afternoons! There is a bar football table on the covered patio between the main house and the apartment. Linens and towels are included (please bring your own beach/pool towels). Free use of the washing machine is included. (Detergent must be purchased separately.) Location La Casita en Campo Alto is situated at the heart of the small hamlet of Los Alazores, which although located just inside the province of Granada is close to Alfarnate and the beautiful region of Axarquia. The hamlet nestles at over 940 metres above sea level and is surrounded by olive groves and almond orchards. The area provides a multitude of remote and spectacular paths and trails for off-road running, walking, hiking and cycling and is well served by quiet, well-surfaced roads, which are ideal for all types of road cycling and for sight-seeing by car. The legendary cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba are all within easy reach, as are the beaches of the eastern Costa del Sol, the lake resorts of El Chorro, Vinuela, Bermejales and Iznajar, the incredible scenery of El Torcal and the famous flamingo lake at La Laguna de Fuente de Piedra. Only 50 minutes from Malaga and Granada airports – accessed by good roads right to the doorstep. Alfarnate, Rio Frio & Villanueva Del Trabuco – 15 minutes. Loja - 25 minutes. Antequera – 40 minutes. (Golf 45 minutes.) Granada - 45 minutes. (Ski resort – 75 minutes.) Torre Del Mar (Beaches) – 50 minutes. Seville – 150 minutes. Cordoba – 120 minutes. Facilities & Activities There is a bar and shop in the hamlet and lots more bars and restaurants just a short drive away. The lovely towns of Alfarnate Rio Frio and Villanueva del Trabuco are close by – all offering a taste of "real" Spain and a selection of restaurants and bars serving food and drink at prices not seen on the coast since Torremolinos was nothing but a fishing port! Hiking, horse riding, quad biking, mountain biking, bird watching, micro-light flights, tennis (pro coaching) golf and skiing are just some of the other activities which we can help you to organise. Summary Accommodation comprises 2 twin rooms with shared bathroom in main house and 2 twin rooms with en-suite facilities in separate annexe. Sleeps 10+ (sofa-beds in both lounges.) 2 lounges with Sky TV (2), Playstation 2 ((1)plays DVDs & CDs) and wood-burning stoves. Kitchen with cooker, oven, dishwasher, microwave & fridge in main house and kitchen/diner with cooker, microwave/grill & fridge in apartment. Laundry facilities. Patio, garden, pool, roof terrace & BBQ area. Off road parking. Both the house and the apartment are wheelchair accessible with assistance. However, the garden and terrace are not.
