Description of Apartment: |
Pueblo Andaluz is a lovely airy apartment with unusually high ceilings in a small village style complex just outside La Cala. This is an ideal holiday home that has been furnished and maintained to the highest standards. The owners try to spend a couple of weeks a year in the property themselves - hence have put a lot of thought into creating a comfortable, practical and well equipped holiday base.
The apartment is on the 1st floor reached by tiled steps from the outside (not suitalbe for elderly or infirm). It has a comfortable bright and comfortable open-plan living area leading out onto the large southerly balcony which benefits from all day sun and great views. The apartment is in a peaceful location with no overhead noise to cause annnoyance (no apartments above)
A 10 min walk will take you into the heart of the charasmatic town of La Cala and the apartment is a mere 5 min walk to the beach. You can see the sea from the large southerly facing balcony. There are also 2 good sized pools set in the landscaped gardens.
The convenient situation of the apartment means that car hire is not essential. Within a 3 minutes walk to the right there is a well-stocked Mini Market and a number of small bars and restaurants including British, Chinese and Italian. Two minutes to the left there is also a selection of cafes and bars including a Pizzeria and Internet Cafe. All conveniently close, with the benefit of being out of sight and out of earshot!
This apartment sleeps up to 4 people but for larger parties (or if unavilable to book) we do have a similar ground floor property available in the same complex which also sleeps 4 (please enquire for availability).
For golf lovers - there are several courses on the doorstep, including the renowned La Cala Golf Resort. There are over 40 other courses within 20 mins of the property!
For those wishing to go further affield without hiring a car - the buses are cheap and plentiful - taking you 15mins into Fuengirolla, or 35mins to Marbella.
For beach lovers a 5 minute walk will take you to the golden sands of La Cala, where you can chill in one of the beach bars, have fun with the watersports, or just lounge!
The complex is small and friendly - all typically spanish - the whitewashed buildings nestling in a small cul-de-sac with pretty gardens and two well sized communal pools. One of the pools is shallow for the children - or the less adventurous!

Washing Machine, heaters & electric fans, iron & Board, and hairdyer provided.
Bed Linen - Duvets are provided in the cooler months. Sheets & Throws in the summer.
Towels: 1 Bath Towel & 1 Hand Towel per person per week.
Location/Accessibility Drive on the N340 from Malaga Airport heading towards Marbella (Full details can be provided if you intend to hire a car). A Car Rental Company can be recommended on request, as can an airport pick-up service.
Malaga Airport 20 mins (Taxi 35-40 Euro) Marbella 25 mins Gibraltar 45 mins (bus trip 12 Euro) Fuengirola 10 mins (Taxi 12 Euro)
All this information was correct at the time owners Michelle & Ian had their holiday in the apartment at the beginning of December 2006.
A selection of Golf Courses, Tennis & Watersports are all nearby.
The small charismatic town of La Cala has all the essentials (Banks, P.O., Supermarket etc) plus a huge choice of bars & restaurants. The Saturday morning market should not be missed.
Taxis are abundant and not overly priced (some of the fares we paid are listed above) but buses are also cheap and frequent.
Other
a Security/Damage deposit of £100 is required on all bookings. This will be returned in full providing the apartment is left in good condition with no damage.
Discounts often available for off-season bookings, last minute bookings and longer rentals. Short breaks also taken out of high season.
Note this apartment may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm who have a problem with steps.
