Casa Estrella is situated just outside Casares village, in a stunning rural setting 45 minutes from Gibralter airport .
Description of Country house:
Casa Estrella is situated in La Celima, a wooded unspoilt area just outside Casares village in Southern Spain. It commands magnificent views in all directions. To the South is a stunning view down the valley to the sea, Gibraltar and Morocco beyond. To the North and West are mountain views of the Sierra Crestellina and Sierra Bermeja, whilst to the East is the Mediterranean and Estepona. Airports It is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Malaga airport, 45 minutes from Gibraltar airport and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Jerez airport. History Casares was settled by the Romans and is one of Spain’s famous white villages, perched high on a cliff in the hills above the coast. This is a rural part of Spain with rugged hills and mountains and large areas of unspoilt national park. Restaurants We are very lucky to have two of the finest restaurants in the region five minutes drive from Casa Estrella (The Forge and Arroyo Hondo). There are numerous local ventas as well, both in Casares itself and the surrounding countryside. Other attractions are the local Roman baths, day trips to Gaucin, Ronda, Ubrique (home of the leather industry), Jimena De La Frontera and Tarifa and of course the Mediterranean coast which is a mere 10 minute drive from the house. Golf There are many golf courses close by including the Casares Golf and Country Club and El Courtesin, an 18 hole Championship course with a Jack Nicklaus Academy attached. There are currently 6 18 hole courses within 15 minutes of the house. In addition Sotogrande, famous for its numerous golf courses, including Valderrama and San Roque, plus polo, tennis, sailing etc is just half an hour down the coast. The House Casa Estrella consists of four double bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. The house is built on two levels with the main house on the lower level (with three bedrooms) and the swimming pool and self contained cottage on the upper level. All rooms have excellent views as does the swimming pool. It is set in a mature garden, which includes various citrus and fruit trees as well as many traditional Spanish shrubs (Oleander, Hibiscus, Bougainvillea, Dama De Noche etc). Amenities include a fully fitted kitchen in the main house (with another kitchen in the cottage), with dish washer, washing machine and dryer. The house also has satellite TV, Stereo and a DVD player. We offer the option of either renting the entire property (4 double rooms) or the main house only (3 double rooms) at a reduced price.

Facilities:
There is a second fully equipped kitchen in the cottage, beside the swimming pool, allowing you to eat and drink beside the pool, with maximum ease. In addition to the main beds there are 2 camp beds for children under 15.
