Traditional, completely refurbished farm house on beautiful estate. Wide views, private pool, 15 minutes to the beach.
Description of Country house:
The old, tastefully renovated finca Santamaria is set on a sloping estate on top of a hill. The next village is La Muela, where you can find a couple of simple bars and restaurants and you can also get some basic shopping there. There is a very recommendable Italian restaurant open almost all year. You have greate views to the picturesque town Vejer de la Frontera on the hill opposite, declared historic monument by the UNESCO. The access road to the estate passes through a lovely, natural landscape where horses graze on meadows inbetween woodlands of pine and olive trees. Rental car is essential. The last kilometre to the house is on a dirt road which is in quite good conditions. The large garden has a dense lawn, fig trees, cypresses, bananas, olive and plane trees. From the top end you have a wide view over the surrounding landscape, Conil, El Palmar and the ocean. The pool (9x5m) is completely fenced in. Santamaría consists of 2 units: the main house sleeps 4 and the apartments sleeps 3. They are adjoining and in the same time completely independent with private patios. These sheltered, lovely Andalusian patios are furnished with wooden terrace tables and chairs, loungers and are decorated with pot plants. Furnishing and inside decoration is comfortable and cosy. The uneven plastered walls, wooden beams, terracotta tiles and refined ilumination by wall lamps provide a romantic, rustic flair. Main house (sleep 4): Open plan living room with wood burning stove, sofa, armchair, well equipped kitchen with dining area. Two bedrooms, one double, one twin, both with inbuilt wardrobes. Shower bath with nicely tiled morish style shower cabin. Apartment (sleep 2): and is a little bit simpler than the main house, but equally cosy. A long streched room divides into lounge with sofa and wood burner on one side, kitchen on the other. Double bedroom, nicely tiled bathroom with shower over bath. The apartment can only be rented together with the main house as an extension for a party up to 6. Extra: security deposit 300€ per credit card.
